garden 9/25/10

Update.

Some butternuts are about 2 inches now.

Check that mini acorn in the middle!

Watermelon is still running wild.

Yum. Ever had bibb lettuce? It's so buttery.

Peaches

Peaches are so good this time of year in the East. We bought about 25 pounds worth at a really good price. We blanched (to make peeling easier) and froze many then enjoyed the rest.
Here, Audrey and I make peach crisp via a Williams Sanoma recipe. Delish!

Isn't she cute?

tea

It's not quite the typical fall in TN yet, but I think it's always a good time for some yummy tea. And how about some of these to set your cup on? Cute!

garden 9/13/10

The Fall garden includes acorn and butternut squash, yellow squash, zucchini and various forms of lettuce. The bell peppers are still growing, as are the watermelons.

Butternut squash.

Little lettuce seedlings. So cute!

Mini watermelons all over.

And some bigger ones too.

We LOVE the garden. :)

Mini basketball size?

Marigold plant about to explode with flowers.

These ones already have.

Watermelon plant taking over.

Surprise! We have two cucumber plants grewing from fallen seeds.
